It has a small neat collar with an elaborate silk tie

This is all held in place with a little button and loop at the back of the neck above a keyhole

It has an interlining of silk organza that helps to retail the fullness and the rounded soft pleats that are set into the seam at the hip help as well

If all of that wasn't enough the dress closes with a row of domed pearl buttons at the back

This style of dress is one of her most well known dresses and it has been one of her most loved styles since it was first created in 1968. The Thea Porter book that accompanied the 2015 Fashion and Textile Museum exhibit "Thea Porter 70s Bohemian Chic" (for which over a dozen pieces were pulled from my archives)
