Our family calls it lumenite but it's also referred to as yooper stone or emberlite. This stone is really beautiful both in natural and under UV light. I cut the stone from rough shaping and polishing it in a domed oval. I handcrafted the solid sterling silver ring entirely from recycled sterling silver that I hand forged and formed.
